The short version

Raidic does not collect or transmit your data. App settings and Advanced activation data stay on your Mac unless you explicitly copy a device request and send it to the developer.

What the app does

Raidic creates and manages AppleRAID sets on your Mac by driving macOS's built-in diskutil tool. All operations happen entirely on your Mac. The app has no network capability: it makes no network connections, contains no analytics, no telemetry, no crash reporting, and no third-party SDKs.

Disk access

Reading RAID and disk status requires no special privileges. Actions that modify disks — creating a RAID set, adding or removing members — prompt for macOS administrator authentication through the system's own authorization dialog. Raidic never sees or stores your password; the prompt is handled by macOS.

Settings and Advanced activation

Your preferences (language, label colors), Advanced device identity, and any imported activation file are stored locally in macOS UserDefaults, Keychain, or Application Support. Raidic never transmits them. If you request Advanced access, you choose to copy a one-way device request digest and send it to the developer through your own communication channel; the raw hardware identifier and private device key never leave your Mac.
